My Reflection Of Education In Education - 1210 Words

As I sit here and reflect on my time here at River Valley since I began my Associates degree, I am struck by how far I’ve progress personally and professionally. I have learned that being a good educator does not only imply to the children you are teaching and interacting with, it also includes being willing to improve oneself, Gaining self-confidence and developing my teaching abilities has been a process. I have learned to regally evaluate my approaches and learning, understand more about the positive impacts of high-quality care is on children’s learning. Personal reflection has become a huge part of my personal growth. This has allowed me to put aside and recognize my personal assumptions, values, beliefs, and bias that may†¦show more content†¦What I feel I have learned the most is that early childhood is a time of curiosity, a time for play, and a time for development. Every child is unique and deserving of an early childhood education that will enhance their individual development( social/emotional, language/literacy, cognitive, physical development, and creative expression and aesthetic appreciation) through a variety of enjoyable experiences. Early childhood education program relies on differentiated instruction and play-based learning to educate and care for children in a way that is developmentally appropriate and personal. The hands on experiences I had through several of the my courses, provided me the opportunity to learn how to form successful partnerships with families and the community, promote positive child development, and to foster students’ confidence, creativity, critical thinking, multicultural awareness, and passion for learning.
